This
sleeping beauty, situated beside a beautiful park in a tropical garden,
surrounded by 400 year old milk wood trees is one of the oldest estates
along the Garden Route. The Lodge, built in 1860, with its wonderful
Yellowwood and Oregon pine woodwork and stunning artwork, is located in a
peaceful cul-de-sac in central old Mossel Bay. The lush garden with an
extensive herb garden, old palm, banana and papaya trees is the perfect
setting for a sumptuous breakfast or traditional dinner served from the
grand farm style kitchen.
Tastefully
decorated rooms combine comfort and easy living reminiscent of the 19th
century, and will ensure a peaceful nights rest with a taste of a bygone
era. A tranquil Victorian veranda with 140 year old glass and woodwork
surrounds the house and overlooks the Harry Giddy Botanical Park.
